We have grown to 900+ successful juice bar franchise locations by partnering with like-minded entrepreneurs who are driven to spend their days building a business that truly helps the people in their communities live a healthier and happier lifestyle.

David A. Pace
Chief Executive Officer
Dave Pace joined Jamba from Bloomin’ Brands, where he served as Executive Vice President and President of its Carrabba’s Italian Grill since 2014. Before he oversaw the domestic operations and development of Carrabba’s, Mr. Pace was Bloomin’ Brands’ Chief Resources Officer and was responsible for Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar and Roy’s Hawaiian Fusion, in addition to overseeing the Real Estate/Development and Human Resources functions. Prior to joining Bloomin’ Brands in 2010, Mr. Pace held executive positions with Starbucks Coffee Company, PepsiCo and Yum! Brands, Inc.
Joe Robert Thornton Jr.
Chief Operations Officer
Joe Thornton joined Jamba Juice in March 2017 as Chief Operations Officer. Prior to Jamba, Mr. Thornton spent 11 years at Starbucks Coffee Company, where he held a series of leadership roles, overseeing company-owned and licensed operations across multiple territories. Most recently, Mr. Thornton served as Vice President of U.S. Licensed Stores, where he led the development and growth of 1,800+ licensed stores across the U.S., and prior to that he served as Senior Vice President leading the operation of 2,800 company-operated stores.
Chief Financial & Administrative Officer
Marie Perry joined Jamba in May 2016. Prior to Jamba, she served as Senior Vice President, Controller & Treasurer for Brinker International where she oversaw the centralized Accounting function and the Treasury function, supporting key corporate finance activities including strategic capital planning, capital markets, funding initiatives, and treasury operations. She also served in several leadership roles including Vice President of Accounting Shared Services & Planning and Analysis and Vice President of Investor Relations & Treasurer. Ms. Perry also spent 12 years with American Airlines, and worked as an auditor at KPMG where she obtained her Certified Public Accountant license.
Chief Marketing Officer
Claudia Schaefer joined the Jamba Juice franchise as Chief Marketing Officer in November 2017. Prior to Jamba, Claudia served as Chief Marketing Officer for Cheddar’s Casual Café where she led Brand Marketing and Culinary. Prior to Cheddar’s, Mrs. Schaefer spent 6 years at Brinker International where she held a series of leadership roles overseeing marketing, innovation, and business development. Her career has a history rich in restaurants, marketing, advertising and international business, both on the agency and client side. Prior to Brinker, Claudia worked for Carlson Restaurants Worldwide, parent company of T.G.I. Friday’s, as well as major advertising agencies including Leo Burnett, Tracy-Locke and Moroch and Associates, where she managed accounts such as Pepsi-Cola, Kellogg’s Cereals, Procter&Gamble and McDonald’s.
Vice President of Legal Affairs and Franchise Development
As Vice President of Legal Affairs and Franchise Development, Josh Nicosia manages the company’s legal agenda, specializing in franchise law, real estate and franchise development. In 2016, Mr. Nicosia led the relocation of Jamba’s corporate headquarters from the San Francisco Bay Area to Frisco, Texas. Prior to joining the smoothie franchise in 2014, Mr. Nicosia was the General Counsel of 1-800 Radiator & A/C, an automotive aftermarket franchisor with 242 franchises throughout the United States and Canada. While there, he led the real estate and mergers and acquisitions team.
